Answer by Deepika Gumaste:
Disclaimer: I am an employee of Text100 Global Communications and we offer traditional as well as digital consultancy to our clients. Please note that I have used the word 'digital consultancy' and not 'services.' My explanation follows:
We were originally, Text100 Global Public Relations. However, we realized that it is no more about public relations, but global communications that encompasses traditional and new-age modes of communication, including 'social and digital media.' And therefore, we now stand for 'Text100 Global Communications.'
Like any other agency, we establish and maintain social network pages for our clients. Keep these channels open and spiced up with company related announcements, contests, industry trivia, milestones and talking about larger business landscape. This includes- Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Blogs, Creating forums for discussions.
PR agencies also some times offer Info-graphics videos, digital releases. Traditionally, we also embed links into our traditional works like releases, pitch notes, keeping in mind how the SEO works. While traditional PR agencies are trying toe keep up the pace, a lot of work still needs to be done in this vertical.
Having said all this, I would like to add a point here- communications is no more about a particular mode of communication. It is more about creating and curating the right kind of content- content that would your audiences would like to hear about and then disseminating it through different modes.
On another note, would like to share an article by one of my ex colleagues at Text100.
